About Graceful Weddings
Anne Charboneau Lead Coordinator
Anne grew up outside of Madison, Wisconsin, and relocated to Washington, D.C., after finishing her master's degree in Scientific and Technical Communication at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. She co-founded Graceful Weddings with Anna Baker, whom she met in 2005 while working for a publishing company in D.C., after enjoying planning her own April 2007 wedding. Anne left her job as an assistant managing editor at the publishing company to stay home with her son, who was born in April 2009. Mother/son dances now hold a special place in her heart, for sure! Anne lives in Alexandria, Virginia, with her husband Ben and son Cole.
Anna Baker Coordinator
Anna Baker grew up outside Baltimore, Maryland, and has a degree in Professional Writing from Carnegie Mellon University. She and Anne Charboneau met in 2005 while working in the publishing industry and soon became fast friends. Like Anne, she was inspired to start Graceful Weddings in February 2008 after successfully planning her own November 2007 nuptials. Currently, Anna works in nonprofit communications by day and lives in Arlington, Virginia, with her husband Dallas and daughter Julia. No matter how many weddings she coordinates, she always tears up during vows and toasts.
Lauren Sanders Assistant Coordinator
Lauren Sanders grew up in Houston, Texas, and graduated from Duke University in 2007 with degrees in Psychology and Markets & Management. She has worked in education research as well as non-profit event planning and fundraising. Since first assisting Anna and Anne with Graceful Weddings in 2009, Lauren has become completely inspired by wedding coordinating! Lauren currently resides in Washington, D.C., with her husband Rob. She always looks forward to the moment when the couples’ eyes first meet during the ceremony – it takes her breath away with every wedding.
